Recently, the Adani Group announced an investment of INR 1,300 crore for the expansion of the Thiruvananthapuram International Airport. This ambitious project has been named Project Anantha. It will achieve completion by 2027. The new terminal will come equipped with various modern facilities. This would include a hotel, a plaza, and various administrative facilities.

All the facilities will be available under the same roof. The airport will also come equipped with enhanced parking facilities. This will help improve the overall experience of the visitors as well as the passengers. A new Air Traffic Control (ATC) tower and an international cargo complex will be built. The airport will also come with remote checking services. This will allow the Thiruvananthapuram Airport to become a highly modernised airport. It is currently in the process of developing the Navi Mumbai International Airport. Once this airport is complete, the company will have 8 airports in its portfolio. This makes it India’s largest airport infrastructure firm, handling 33% of air cargo and 25% of passenger traffic.
